Eric Ayers Archives

Born and thriving in Delaware County, Eric’s parents encouraged his love for drawing and photography with their own influential creative skills as far back as his earliest childhood memories. Additionally, Eric credits you – his clients, and friends for giving him the chance and unique opportunities to grow and to give his very best for your creative project requests!

A rendering for a second-grade classmate of Captain America was Eric Ayers’ first commissioned illustration for 25 cents. Eric began his formal fine art education at the Wallingford Community Art Center at age 8. Early illustrator inspirations were Walt Disney, Norman Rockwell and Roger Dean.

Eric prepared for a career in commercial art at Aston Vocational Technical School. He completed the program of graphic design and illustration studies with a 3-year 4.0 GPA in 1983. Eric’s first paid logo design was for Peoples Savings Association in Swarthmore, PA.

Eric graduated from Hussian School of Art’s 4-year Associates in Specialized Technology in 1987 majoring in illustration and minoring in graphic design with fine art supporting studies. He was best known at Hussian for his Print Magazine International Student Design Competition “Sabre Toothed Duck” Honorable Mention. The magazine cover contest theme was “What were your earliest art influences?”

Eric interned at Greenwald Christian Advertising as an illustrator/graphic designer. He landed an Assistant Art Director position at Goss & Topp Advertising in the spring of 1988 designing national name brand cooperative free standing insert advertisements for such clients as Sara Lee and Tropicana Orange Juice. Eric has also worked in-house as an Art Director for a multi facility printing firm, and a US Navy Technical Illustrator Contractor in the mid 1990s.
